This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Packham in the parish of Cuckfield in the county of Sussex widow as follows (that is to say) First I will order and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be fully paid and satisfied by my executrix and executor hereinafter named I give an bequeath unto my daughter Ann Packham the sum of fifty pounds of lawful British money to be retained by her out of my personal estate And to my son in law Edward Norris of Cuckfield aforesaid bricklayer the sum of thirty pounds Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter-in-law Mrs Christian Packham the widow of my late son Ned Packham deceased the sum of twenty pounds of like lawful money Upon Trust that she the said Christian Packham her executors or administrators do an shall pay and equally divide the same unto and amongst her four children viz. Sarah Packham Mary Packham John Packham and Henry Packham as they attain their respective ages of twenty one years with interest after the rate of five pounds per centum per annum from the respective days and times they severally arrive at the age of ten years. And I direct the said several legacies of fifty pounds, thirty pounds and twenty pounds to be paid at the end of twelve calendar months next after my decease Also I give unto my said daughter Ann Packham one moiety off my wearing apparel of every sort kind and quality and the other moiety thereof I give unto my granddaughters Sarah Norris Elizabeth Norris and Susanna Norris to be equally divided between them and amongst them share and share alike
And as to all my household goods household furniture and all other my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever which I may die possessed of interested in or entitled unto (not hereinbefore disposed of) I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof (subject to the payment of all my just debts the before mentioned legacies and my funeral and testamentary expenses) unto my said daughter Anne Packham and my good Friend Joseph Potter of Cuckfield aforesaid yeoman In Trust that they the said Anne Packham and Joseph Potter or the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of such survivor do an shall sell and convert such part and parts of my said personal estate and effects as shall not consist of monies into money and call in and receive all such sums and sums of money as shall be due and owing to my said estate from any person or persons whomsoever upon any security or securities account or accounts whatsoever and the money thereby arising (after payment thereout of all the before mentioned legacies the costs charges and expenses attending such sale //
or sales and all incidental expenses relating thereto and the full performance of the Trusts hereby in them reposed) In Trust to divide the same unto and amongst my said granddaughters and grandson Sarah Norris Elizabeth Norris Susanna Norris and John Norris as they attain their several and respective ages of twenty one years equally share and share alike and to accumulate the dividends and interest thereof in the mean time to and for their respective benefits And in case one or more of my said grandchildren shall happen to depart this life under the said age of twenty one years without leaving issue of her his or their body or bodies lawfully begotten the part or share or parts or shares of her him or them so dying shall go to and be paid to the survivors or survivors of them together with their her or his original shares or share And in case all my said grandchildren the said Sarah Norris Elizabeth Norris Susanna Norris and John Norris shall die under the age of twenty one years without leaving issue aforesaid then Upon Trust
to pay the same unto my next of kin according to the statute for the distribution of intestate estates And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said daughter Ann Packham and the said Joseph Potter executrix and executor of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former another wills by me at anytime heretofore made and I declare this only to be and contain my last will and testament In Witness whereof I the said Sarah Packham the testatrix have to this my last will and testament contained in two sheets of paper set my hand and seal at the top of the first sheet where the same are affixed together my hand at the bottom thereof and my hand and seal to this last sheet the fifth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten.
