In the Name of God Amen I Solomon Neeve the Elder of the Parish of Withyham in the county of Sussex yeoman weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory (praised be God therefore) and considering the uncertainty of death do make and ordain this my last will and testament as follows that is to say in the first place I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping for mercy through the merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently interred at the discretion of my executors hereinafter named And as to the worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I do give and dispose thereof in manner following that is to say In the first place I will that all my debts funeral expenses and legacies hereinafter mentioned be paid and discharged by my executrix and executors hereinafter named.
I do also give devise and bequeath unto my son Thomas Neeve all that my right title claim and estate in and to all that messuage or tenement with the appurtenances lying and being at or near Boxes Gate in the parish of Withyham aforesaid now in the tenure or occupation of John Bowra or his assigns to be held by my said son Thomas his heirs or assigns by Copy of Court Rolls of the Manor of Duddleswell for ever.
I do likewise will devise and bequeath unto my son Solomon Neeve all those cottages and barn with one acre and two rods of land more or less situate and being near Boxes Gate aforesaid now or late in the tenure or occupation of John Roberts and of myself or assigns which I have surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the Manor of Duddleswell to the use of my last will and testament to be held by my said son Solomon his heirs and assigns forever after the Custom of the said Manor.
I do likewise give and bequeath unto my daughter Elisabeth Neeve the sum of five pounds of lawful money of Great Britain over and above the copyhold messuage or tenement with the appurtenances situate lying and being at or near Charnbrook in the Manor of Rotherfield for the use of my said daughter her heirs and assigns forever according to the Custom of the said Manor.
I do likewise give and bequeath unto my daughter Annas the wife of William Baker of Rotherfield the sum of one shilling of lawful money of Great Britain.
I do likewise give and bequeath unto William Baker son of the said William and Annas Baker the sum of five pounds of like lawful money of Great Britain.
All the residue rest and reminder of my goods chattels moveable book debts and other debts and personal estate whatsoever I do give and bequeath until my wife Elisabeth Neeve and my sons Thomas Neeve and Solomon Neeve to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike.
And I do hereby nominate constitute ordain and appoint my said loving wife Elisabeth and my said sons Thomas and Solomon full and joint executrix and executors of this my last will and testament and lastly I do declare this to be my last will and testament utterly revoking and disannulling all other and former will or wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of August in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and fifty.

In the Name of God Amen I Solomon Neve of Withyham in the county of Sussex farmer being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding praised be God for the same Do this thirtieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) I give devise and bequeath unto my son William Neve all that my copyhold messuage or tenement with two acres and a half of land thereunto belonging late the land of Sarah the wife of Robert Best and also one other piece of land containing one acre late parcel of the waste All which I have surrendered to the use of my will situate lying and being at or near a certain place called Boxes Gate in Withyham aforesaid now in the occupation of me the said Solomon Neve and my tenant Joseph Fermor or his assigns to have and to hold the said copyhold lands messuage and tenement to my said son William Neve his heirs and assigns forever according to the Custom of the Manor of which the same are holden Also I give devise and bequeath unto my son Robert Neve all that my copyhold cottage and half an acre of land late Bests and also one other piece of land containing by estimation one acre late Tanners All which I have surrendered to the use of my will situate lying and being near Boxes Gate in Withyham aforesaid and now in the occupation of me the said Solomon Neve and my tenant Richard Pilbeam or his undertenants to have and to hold the same copyhold cottage lands and premises to my said son Robert Neve his heirs and assigns forever according to the Custom of the Manor of which the same are holden Also I give and bequeath unto my son John Neve the legacy or sum of thirty pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain.
Also I give and bequeathed unto my four daughters Elizabeth (wife of Robert Thorp of Crowborough in the parish of Rotherfield in the said county of Sussex victualler) Ann (wife of Thomas Avis of Withyham aforesaid farmer) Mary Neve and Fanny Neve the like sum or legacy of thirty pounds each which said legacies I will shall be paid unto them my said children within 12 months after my decease provided and my will is that if my said daughter Mary Neve shall happen to die before her said legacy becomes payable to her then and in such case I will that her said legacy of thirty pounds be paid to her son Elias Hurrian Neve to and for his own proper use and benefit Also my will and mind is that my two sons William Neve and Robert Neve my executors hereinafter named or the survivor of them do permit my said daughter Mary Neve (so long as they or either of them shall continue to use and occupy the farm lands and premises where I now dwell and she continues sole and unmarried) to reside live and board with them or either of them without paying for the same And lastly as to all the rest residue and remainder of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind and quality the same maybe and not hereinbefore given and disposed of after payment of my debts legacies funeral expenses and the expense of proving this my will I do hereby give and bequeath the same unto my two sons William Neve and Robert Neve equally between them share and share alike to and for their own use and benefit absolutely And I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint my said sons William Neve and Robert Neve joint executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former and other wills and testaments by me at anytime heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said Solomon Neve the testator have to this my will contained in two sheets of paper set my hand at the bottom of the first sheet and my hand and seal to this second and last sheet the day and year first written.
