In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Neve of Withyham in the county of Sussex yeoman being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory praised be God for the same and likewise for the natural love and affection which I the said Thomas Neve have for and towards my brother Solomon Neve do therefore make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say Principally and first of all I give and commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried by my Executor of the parish of Withyham in the county aforesaid yeoman hereinafter named And as touching such temporal estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner First I give and bequeath unto my said brother Solomon Neve his heirs and assigns all and singular my personal estate goods and chattels wearing apparel of what kind or nature soever or wheresoever I give and bequeath the same unto my said brother Solomon Neve he paying thereout and therefrom all my just debts and funeral expenses and charge of the probate of this my last will and testament Also I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Stevens the wife of William Stevens of the parish of Buxted in the said county of Sussex shoemaker my sister the sum of 1 shilling And Lastly I the said Thomas Neve do hereby constitute make ordain and appoint my said brother Solomon Neve my full whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament And I do hereby disallow and absolutely revoke all other or former wills made by me ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament contained in one sheet of paper and also have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of April in the thirteenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three.

This is the last will and testament of me William Neve of the parish of Withyham in the county of Sussex yeoman being in health and of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding praised be God for the same do this thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Six make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First I give and devise unto my brother John Neve all that my piece or parcel of copyhold land containing by estimation half an acre situate lying and being at or near a certain place called Boxesgate in Withyham aforesaid and now in the occupation of me the said William Neve my tenants or assigns to have and to hold to him my said brother John Neve his heirs and assigns forever according to the Custom of the Manor of which the same is holden Also I give and devise unto my brother Robert Neve all that my copyhold messuage or tenement with two acres and a half of land thereunto belonging and also one other piece of land late parcel of the waste all which I have surrendered to the use of my Will situate lying and being at or near Boxesgate aforesaid and now in the occupation of me the said William Neve my tenants or assigns and also all other my messuages lands hereditaments and real estate whatsoever and wheresoever (not herein before given and devised) with their and every of their appurtenances to hold to him my said brother Robert Neve his heirs and assigns forever according to the Custom of the Manor of which the same are holden Also I give and bequeath unto my nephew Elias Hurrian Neve (natural son of my sister Mary Neve) the legacy or sum of £100 to be paid unto him immediately after the expiration of one year after my decease And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind and quality soever both real and personal after payment of my debts legacy funeral expenses and the expense of proving this my will I do hereby give devise and bequeath the same unto my said brother Robert Neve his heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint my said brother Robert Neve sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former and other wills and testaments by me at anytime heretofore made In Witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set and subscribed my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
