- Anecdote*: John and Elizabeth's first child in 1643 was named Drue/Drew and it is interesting to note that there are two marriages of a Drew WIGGANS at Maresfield in 1643 and 1658, suggesting that the family has a connection to there. There is also an earlier one in1593 at Rotherfield.1
- Anecdote: Note that there is a burial on 14 Mar 1659: "--- WICKINS, a lame boy". This might be one of the children of this family.2
- Anecdote: Note that there is an illegitimate child Mary baptised 12 Jul 1660, daughter of Thomas NICHOLS and Elizabeth WICKENS, "supposed bastard child, age 6 years, of widow Elizabeth."3
