• Anecdote*: In the 1834 electoral register James Chaplin (the father?), James Manley Chaplin and Thomas Manley Chaplin were registered at 36 Camomile St, London. It would appear that Thomas did not live here though. The list had been categorised by occupation and they were listed under "Armorers and Braziers". In the 1841 census James Manley Chaplin's occupation is ironmonger.²
