I John Ginner of Cuckfeilde in the diocese of Chichester being of whole mind & of good and p’fect remembrance laude and praise unto almighty god therefore I make & ordeyn this my p’sent testament containing herein my last will in manner and forme following that is to say first of all I commend my soulle into the hands of almightye god my maker trusting to Christ my savior and redeemer and my body to be buried in the parish church or churchyard where I do decease. ITEM. I give and bequeath unto the poor people of that parish ten shillings to be distributed at my funeral by the discretion of my executor and overseers hereafter named. IT.
