In the name of God Amen the Fifteenth day of November Anno Dni One thousand six hundred seaventy and nine I Deborah Winter of the Towne and Port of Hasting in the County of Sussex widdow sick in // Body But of sound and pfect mind and Memory I blesse God for it doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in writeing in manner and forme following First and principally I commend my soule to Allmighty God my Creator assuredly expecting the Remission of all my sinns and life everlasting through the Passion Merritts and Satisfaction of my Only Savior and Redeemer Christ Jesus And my Body to Christian buryall at the discretion of my Executor herein after named Item I give to the poore people of the pish of St Clement of Hasting aforesaid where I now dwell fower shillings of lawfull English money to be distributed unto them at the discretion of my said Executor within two months next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Winter tenn shillings To my sonne Thomas Winter ten shillings To my daughter Mary the wife of Thomas Symonds one shilling To my daughter Deborah five shillings and my two silver Bodkins and my Broad Boxe with all with all my wearing Cloathes Linnen and woollen therein being To be paid and delivered unto them severally within six monthes next after my decease And lastly I hereby make and ordaine my Sonne James Winter sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament To whom I likewise give and bequeath all the rest of my goods and Chattells whatsoever here unbequeathed my debts legacies and funerall expences first satisyed and paid And these p[rese]nts dated the day and yeare first above written I hereby declare to be my very last Will and Testament And in full Testimony thereof I have also hereunto sett my hand and Seale Deborah Winter her marke In the pnce of these credible Witnesses Viz Thomas Winter elder Stephen Thomsett his marke William Blaker
