- (Witness) Will: William Coe is mentioned in the will of William Coe dated 20 September 1635 at Rotherfield, Sussex, EnglandB.3
- Anecdote*: In 1635, William inherited "lands and tenements lying and being in Cranbrook at Courtstile in the County of Kent" from his father's will.
- Anecdote: Rotherfield Manorial Court held 28 Apr 1641 - Admission to Deanforde property
A property called Deanforde with appurtenances containing by estimation 6 acres of assart of Crowburrowe was transferred from Simon Hilles to William Coe.
Paid fine £3.4 - Marriage License*: William Coe and Elizabeth Care obtained a marriage licence on 10 July 1641 at South Malling Peculiar, Sussex, England, William a husbandman of Rotherfield, Elizabeth of Mayfield. Sponsors: William COE and John CARE, yeoman of Mayfield.1

- Anecdote: On 25 Feb 1647 (47/48?) there is a burial of "--- COE, daughter of William" at Heathfiedl All Saints. There is a bit of a mystery here as William's will made in 1653 mentions daughters Patience, Elizabeth and Mary (who would be candidates for the burial) but does not mention Anne baptised in 1650. There is a "stray" baptism of a Mary Coe on 18 Apr 1652 at Burwash, daughter of Richard, which is also unaccounted for.
